You may already know that I’ve been on a journey of self-healing.
You can PUSH all you like, but when your body and soul have enough everything just shuts down.
Then you reach the dreaded apathy, which in my opinion is far worse than actually having even negative emotions.
Picking up the pieces may be tough, but if I’m being honest was quite rewarding.
It’s allowed me to strip away all the ‘shoulds’ to focus on what truly matters.
I don’t think I ever really shared what my heart desires. I’ve hinted at it, talked around it, and perhaps even shared some strategies around it.
I’m a classic Virgo in so many ways. The dependable, strong fixer. Herein lies the problem, getting so lost in your default mode isn’t necessarily a good thing.
Well in my case it wasn’t.
Habits and patterns can be changed, if you DECIDE so.
I had a mini breakdown 6 months ago, and I didn’t even realize it was THAT until a couple of weeks ago.
Yes you read that right.
It took me 6 months to piece it all together.
Talking to my Sister (a fellow Virgo) we were reflecting on how we try to minimize our pain in order to not put anyone out, or make them feel uncomfortable.
We’re so into helping others, that we overlook ourselves.
I mean you’ve got big missions, right?
Clients to help, kids to look after, Mum/Siblings/Husband and the list goes on.
You can’t quench someone’s thirst from an empty well.
Fill your own cup first, before you reach the point I did.
Stuffing away your needs and pain, doesn’t make them miraculously disappear, rather it makes things sooo much worse than dealing with them in real time.
Imagine not even knowing how to ask for help.
Yep that was me!
I have a HIGH emotional pain threshold.
I’ve gone through massive heartache and life lessons, quietly with no fuss and then I see someone going through something similar and think wow I don’t know if I’m a glutton for punishment or brave for handling it the way I did.
Can you relate? or is it just me lol
You need to know that you’re not alone.
I see you.
The pain in your eyes.
The emotional weight of the pain you’re holding onto.
I’ve been there.
In fact I’m a work in progress.
I’m not miles ahead of you, just a few steps so the pain is still fresh in my mind.
There were many things that helped me move forward, but I can honestly say the single most powerful one was journaling.
I highly recommend it’s therapeutic benefits, as well as manifesting magic.
